Photographs Of My Degree Show!

A page out of my journal.
To be honest, I just wanted to draw a dinosaur!

My Masters Project.
For my masters project I want to re-introduce children to toys and games that were played and enjoyed in the 1900s. Instead of boring children with facts, I want to use illustration in a fun way to make these toys wanted again. Above is a poster I illustrated as a imagery description of my project. Keep checking my blog to see my newest ideas and illustrations for this idea.

I have just found this illustration I did a while ago, when I was experimenting with textures within my illustrations. For this image I used the texture of leaves to create the birds feathers.

Sketchbook Pages!

This is an illustration I created for the front cover of the book
'Take A Girl Like You' By Kingsley Amis.

Illustrations for a project called 'Orchestra'

And these were two pages of illustrations for the poem 'Diary Of A Church Mouse'
By John Betjeman.

These illustrations I used for the poem 'Diary Of A Church Mouse'.
For the end result I wanted them to be black and white, so I needed to make sure the original image was really interesting with lots of textures. I did this by using ink and paper.

The end result for the illustration I created for the poem
'All Over The World' By Christina Starobin.

These are a few illustrations that I did for a poem called 'All Over The World'.
I love creating line drawings using dipping ink, you get such a sharpe edge and
because you cant remove it if you go wrong, it makes every drawing unusual.
